Retail Support Centre
At DSGi our Head Office is known as the Retail Support Centre (RSC). Here, more than 2,000 employees develop the strategies that keep us at the forefront of electrical retailing.
It’s no surprise that finding and keeping great people is as important to our success as having great products. We value diversity and reward talent, and we’re always looking for motivated individuals to help lead our business into the future.
We offer Training and Development programmes that could help you maximise your potential and build on your professional skills and career aspirations.
Our modern premises in Hemel Hempstead have a coffee bar, two staff restaurants and a shop that provides dry cleaning services, DVD rentals and an ATM and a social club arranges events throughout the year. The RSC is based next to an Esporta gym and a Jack and Jill's nursery.

IT
It goes without saying (but we will say it anyway) - innovative, creative and forward-thinking IT systems are absolutely vital to our success. The sheer pace and competitiveness of our business demands unique levels of skill, insight and flexibility. The challenges we pose our IT colleagues are many and varied, from upgrading our national network to delivering an entire new business start-up. Each member of our IT team is encouraged to develop technical, project management and management skills.
Marketing
This is where market trends and changes are identified and strategies developed accordingly. With new technologies flooding the market on an almost daily basis our marketers need to be experts on emerging technology as well as on competitor activity and execution. Strategic thinking, an eye for detail and a good sense of perspective are all essential for the decision-making and negotiations that are crucial to our success.
Buying
It's about building relationships and using top level negotiations to get the best deals the world over. DSGi has to move fast to stay in pole position, and no matter what products you are assigned, it will be your ability to forge profitable supplier relationships that will turn you from a good buyer into an excellent one.
Multi-channel
As a multi-channel retailer, all our retail brands have a presence online. Additionally, we have pure-play e-tail brands in our e-commerce division including Dixons.co.uk and Pixmania.com, the pan-European electrical e-tailer we acquired a controlling stake of in June 2006.
We’re looking for people to help us reach our digital future. You’ll be making a direct contribution to the future of our business. In short, we’ve pulled together one of the best multi-channel teams in the business. If you join us, we offer you an excellent salary and benefits package, possibly some UK and European travel and the opportunity for unparalleled career progression.
