DSG international is one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retailing groups.

Our employees are increasingly involved in the implementation of changes to the Group's operations and working practices. This is achieved through a series of consultative forums with elected representatives from local business operations as well as a European Forum chaired by the Chief Executive.

Feedback is obtained through focus groups, John Browett's weekly diary (a feedback forum where colleagues can ask John Browett and other executives questions directly about the business) and employee engagement surveys in addition to a whistle-blowing procedure, where any colleague may contact an independent body to register concerns about any aspect of business practice.  Significant communications are delivered through a cascading system of management briefings and through our intranet-based daily newsfeed, Frontline Online.

Our Independent Employee Assistance Programme gives free advice and support on practical, financial, legal and personal matters.

Graham Cleary from Currys in Northampton won a DSGi innovation competition Logik set top boxwhich encouraged employees to be "armchair inventors".  Graham's slimline digital TV receiver is now on sale in Currys and on www.dixons.co.uk.  Graham won an all-expenses paid trip to Hong Kong and his innovation was chosen for mass production.
